Suspend a State License

Under certain conditions, the court has the authority to suspend a license granted to an obligor by a state. The obvious license subject to suspension is the driver’s license, but states issue licenses for a variety of occupations. Because these licenses are required to work in the particular occupation, license suspension can be a serious matter to an obligor.

States also issue licenses for recreational purposes, such as fishing or hunting. Suspension of these licenses also can be a powerful technique to enforce child support payments.
