"Overdue on Your Child Support Payments?" asks Shelby County Child Support Services. "Help Us Help You"
From myEyewitnessNEWS.com:
Parents behind on paying your child support, this is your chance to get help. Shelby County Child Support Services is holding a "Help Us Help You" campaign next week. People who've gotten their licenses revoked or are facing jail time can get some relief. By making a good faith payment of $250 and agreeing to work with a payment plan for the future, they can get the warrants dismissed and their licenses back.
"We're not an agency that wants to lock them up. We're not an agency that wants to put them in jail. That's not what we're about,” said Shelby County Child Support Services Project Manager Frenchell White Phipps. “We're trying to change lives and they way individuals think about the child support program. So what they need to do is they need to contact us, they need to come in here, they need to sit down and talk to us and not be afraid to address the issue."
The campaign is going on Monday May 17th through Friday May 21st from 8 am to 5 pm and Saturday May 22nd from 10 am to 1 pm. It's at the Shelby County Child Support Office at 3915 South Mendenhall Rd. in Memphis.
