Jackson Doctor Keeps Medical License Despite Overdue Child Support

A court can suspend a variety of licenses if child support is in arrears. Just ask Michael Jackson's doctor whether he can keep dodging the bullet.
Per RTTNews:
A Las Vegas court officer has postponed the decision on whether Michael Jackson's doctor, Conrad Murray, should be allowed to continue practicing medicine in his home state of Nevada.
The doctor, who is accused of administering a fatal dose of propofol to the late King of Pop, won the fight on Friday when a child support hearing master denied a prosecutor's push to suspend his Nevada medical license for failing to pay $16,000 in child support.
"Because the arrears are approximately $16,000, that triggers a potential professional license suspension," Clark County Chief Deputy District Attorney Gerard Constantian said.
However, Murray's lawyer Chris Aaron argued that the doctor has made regular and full payments of $1,003 per month, as he was ordered to last November. At that time, the mother of Murray's child, Nenita Malibiran, agreed to waive the multiple thousands of dollars Murray owes in back child support.
A judge in Santa Clara County in California did not accept Malibiran's waiver and set a hearing for May 27. Constantian said there is no guarantee the judge will grant the waiver.
